Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is a unique discipline of medicine, focused on enhancing appearance through surgical and madical techniques.  Can be performed on all areas of the head, neck and body.  Cosmetic surgery differs from plastic surgery because the purpose of this procedure is to take a normal body structure and improve it to make it look better and improve the person’s self-esteem.

Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery is defined as a surgical speciality dedicated to reconstruction of facial and body defects due to birth disorders, burns, and disease.  Plastic surgery is intend to correct dysfunctional areas of the body and is reconstructive.  Often a person seeks reconstructive surgery due to a bad formation that they would like to have corrected.  Others need plastic surgery because of health complications due to the abnormal body part of facial feature.  Repairing a cleft lip, broken nose or birth defect falls under the category of plastic surgery.
